Recently I had written about unlocking of E173z-1 MTN Sudan modem. Today, I will write about the E173 (E173z-1) Etisalat Nigeria modem dongle data card. I keep writing unlocking procedures for various types of modems for free. Today, we have come with you to unlock E173 (E173z-1) Etisalat Nigeria Huawei Modem Dongle Datacard. Etisalat has launched in Nigeria different types of firmware modems.
The list of firmware that was launched by the Etisalat network in Nigeria is :
- 21.157.31.00.1043 (Build: Apr 23 2012 12:02:27)
- 21.157.31.00.284 (Build: Mar 17 2012 12:15:53)
- 21.157.13.00.284 (Build: Feb 16 2012 11:05:38)
- You may find other firmware modems also which are not mentioned above.
As mentioned, all firmware is customized, and it cannot be unlocked with the help of an unlock code only. You need to download one software and one firmware that download links at the end of the article.
How to unlock E173 (E173z-1) Etisalat Nigeria Huawei Modem Dongle?
- Download all software’s from the download link, which is provided at the end of the article.
- Now close the dashboard/software/connection manager of E173 (E173z-1) Etisalat Nigeria Huawei Modem Dongle Datacard and run Universal Master code software and go to Huawei tab to generate the flash code for your modem.
- Now run the downloaded firmware software.
- When it asks for a password, then use flash code as password and proceed till finish.
- Now open the Huawei Modem Code Writer tool and put there unlock code to unlock your modem.
Note: Don’t enter any wrong codes into your E173z-1 MTN Huawei Nigeria modem; it is a new algo modem, and its unlock code is different than others. Your modem will be permanently locked. You can purchase the unlock code from the server.
