I keep writing unlocking procedures for various types of modems for free. Today, we have come with you to unlock the E173z-1 (E173) MTN Huawei Sudan modem. MTN has launched in Sudan, different types of firmware modem.
List of firmware which was launched by MTN Sudan :
- 21.157.31.00.1043 (Build: Apr 23 2012 12:02:27)
- 21.157.31.00.284 (Build: Mar 17 2012 12:15:53)
- 21.157.13.00.284 (Build: Feb 16 2012 11:05:38)
Above mentioned all firmware modems are customized firmware modem and need to unlock by software. One is unlocked Huawei compatible firmware, and another one is the Huawei Modem Code Writer tool (download link is provided at the end of the article).
How to unlock E173z-1 (E173) MTN Huawei Sudan Modem?
1. Download all software’s from the link which is provided at the end of the article.
2. Now, close the dashboard/software of MTN and run Universal Master Code software.
3. Head over to the Huawei tab and generate the flash code for your modem.
4. Now run the downloaded firmware software.
5. When it asks for a password, use flash code as password and proceed until it is finished.
6. Now open the Huawei Modem Code Writer tool and put their unlock code to unlock your modem.
Note: Recently, MTN Sudan has launched the E173Z-1 modem with firmware version 21.158.73.00.1043. I hope this firmware (21.156.00.00.910.B757) will work (the password of the zip file is: n1122n).
