Gionee M2 had been released with Android Jelly Bean OS, and the company had recently confirmed that Android 4.4 KitKat would be available. How to Upgrade Gionee M2 to Android 4.4 KitKat?
1. Make sure you have downloaded the Android Driver, SP Flash Tool, and corresponding firmware file (4GB or 8GB).
2. Unzip the downloaded files.
3. Open “Android Driver Install” and double click on “AutoRun_Install.”
4. Disconnect your device from your computer.
5. Open a folder named “Flash Tool” and double click on the “Flash_tool” application file.
6. Select the “Scatter-loading” option on the tool.
7. Select a file named “MT6592_Android_scatter” from the firmware folder as shown below.
8. Click on the “Firmware-Upgrade” option on the top as shown below.
9. Connect your Gionee M2 with the USB cable and then switch it on.
10. The upgrade process will be triggered, and you would be able to see the following screen.
11. The following screen will appear on completion of the upgrade.
12. Disconnect the device and switch on your device again.
Now, you have successfully updated your Gionee M2 with Android 4.4 KitKat Update.
