Gionee has announced that M2 will get Android 4.4.2 KitKat update starting Sep 5 in India via its Facebook page.
Gionee M2 smartphone was launched in Feb this year with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, and the company has announced KitKat 4.4.2 availability in India via FOTA. Notably, the company has released this week’s KitKat update for another handset, Pioneer P4.
After updating the device with Android 4.4 via OTA, you will see features such as wireless printing, support for emojis, and more. This update may also bring a new home screen layout, update for Amigo Paper, Game Zone, UC browser, Kingsoft Office, and more, similar to other smartphones.
The company has not provided more details, which actually will be offered. Once it starts rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in Gionee Marathon M2, I will again inform you of the features in detail.
