KeyFreeze: Free Keyboard and Mouse Locker for Windows PC

Sometimes we take more precautions about unwanted keystrokes – while working on the computer or browsing the Internet. One wrong click may make a lot of difference. Suppose your kid is watching a video on the computer with you and who loves to bang on the keyboard. Will it does not create problems? The same may happen with the mouse, so to solve such unwanted situations, you can use a free tool called KeyFreeze. It is a freeware Keyboard and Mouse locker that locks the keyboard and mouse on your Windows computer while keeping your computer screen ‘unlocked.’

Launch the KeyFreeze and click on the “Lock Keyboard & Mouse” button, and it will just lock down your mouse and keyboard to prevent others from clicking allegedly. To unlock those locked external devices, you have to press “CTRL+ALT+DELETE” together, then finally press Esc.

KeyFreeze is very easy to use and compatible with all Windows versions, including Win 10, both 32-bit and 64-bit machines.

Once downloaded and installed KeyFreeze on your PC, when you will open it on your computer, you will see a simple screen with a single button. To lock the keyboard and mouse, click on the ‘Lock Keyboard & Mouse’ button. It gives you 5 seconds to do something if you have overlooked it. After that, you would not be able to press any key except the combinations of keys set in the software.

To unlock the keyboard and mouse, you will have to press CTRL+ALT+DEL keys combination and the unlock key. This is the only keyboard combination that works when the tool is running. Finally, you have to press the ESC key to able to open the keyboard and mouse.

The main disadvantage of KeyFreeze is that you cannot change the unlock key combination, which means if someone knows about this tool, he can easily unlock your mouse and keyboard by following the procedure mentioned above.
