HTC has launched its latest smartphone in the Desire series – the HTC Desire 820 – at its pre-IFA 2014 event, which will be available worldwide beginning late-September. The company has not confirmed the price yet.
The HTC Desire 820 is a dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) phablet, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense UI skin on top. It is the successor of Desire 816 and features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display.
The phablet is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (1.5GHz quad-core + 1.0GHz quad-core) coupled with 2GB of RAM. The Desire 820 houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 lens, LED flash, and BSI sensor. It has also housed an 8-megapixel secondary front-facing camera for video calling and selfie.
The HTC Desire 820 has 16 GB internal storage, further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 128 GB). It includes Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 3G, and 4G LTE in terms of connectivity options.
The phone measures 157.7×78.74×7.74mm and weighs 155 grams. Under the hood of Desire 820, a 2600mAh battery is fixed, rated to deliver up to 22.4 hours (3G) of talk time and 424 hours (3G) of standby time.

HTC has said that in 4G LTE connectivity, you can download a file with speed up to 150 Mbps. It also supports HTC’s Dot View case, which will provide instant access to your phone without opening the cover.
