Samsung has unveiled its first B2B and water-resistant tablet – the Galaxy Tab Active – which is specially built for businesses and professionals. The company has not announced its global availability and price.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is dust and water-resistant with IP67 certification and also comes with an anti-shock covering, which, according to Samsung, can withstand a 1.2-meter drop with the protective cover on. The company has also included a C-Pen stylus at the top of the protective Galaxy Tab Active cover.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and features an 8-inch WXGA (1280×800 pixels) TFT LCD touchscreen display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, which is coupled with 1.5GB of RAM.
The slate houses a 3.1-megapixel autofocus rear camera with an LED flash and a 1.2MP frontal camera for video chat and selfie. It comes with a built-in 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 64GB).
In terms of connectivity options on the Galaxy Tab Active, include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, 3G, and 4G LTE. A 4450mAh removable battery backs it. It measures 126.2×213.1×9.75mm and weighs 393 grams.

The Galaxy Tab Active would come in the Titanium Green color and two variant models – Wi-Fi and LTE. The firm also offering Knox security features, along with an optional three years extended warranty.
