Connection Terminated – Huawei Mobile Partner error

If you are a Huawei modem/dongle user, then you must well familiar with the Huawei Mobile Partner software. The Huawei Mobile Partner software comes with software and drivers, which makes enables the Huawei modem to connect to the internet. If you are a Windows PC user, then you might earlier face the error “Connection Terminated” in Huawei mobile partner software.

How to troubleshoot “Connection Terminated” error in Windows PC with Huawei Mobile Partner Software

1. Disconnect Huawei modem/dongle from your PC.
2. Now click Start > Run.
3. If you are a Windows XP user, then copy and paste C:\Documents and settings\all user application\ datamicrosoftnetworkconnectionspbk (Here, C:\ is a Windows installation directory, if you have installed your windows on another driver, then change it) Or
4. For Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1, copy and paste C:\Users(username)AppDataRoamingMicrosoftNetworkConnectionsPbk (Here, C:\ is a Windows installation directory, if you have installed your windows on another driver then change it. Change (username) with username in which you are presently logged into your PC)
5. Now click, OK.
6. Now when a window opens, you will get a file name, ‘Rasphone.’ Just delete this ‘Rasphone.’
7. Now restart your computer / PC.
8. Now connect the dongle and try to connect to the internet.

If for any reason the above procedure doesn’t resolve the “Connection terminated” error, then try the following steps:

1. Got to Start > Run
2. In the Run box, type services. msc and hit enter from the keyboard.
3. Now find the ‘Remote Access Connection Manager’ service.
4. Right-click ‘Remote Access Connection Manager’ and select Properties.
5. Under the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Manual’ as the startup type and click ‘Start’ (this option will be grayed out if it’s already started).
6. Click OK
7. Now plug the Huawei modem into the PC and try to connect to the internet.
