Vivo X5Max has been launched in China for 2998 Yuan (about US $485 or Rs. 30,000). At 4.75-inch thickness, it has taken the crown of the world’s slimmest smartphone from Oppo R5, which is 4.85-inch slim.
The Vivo X5Max comes in Aurora White color and up for pre-order from its official website; it will be shipped on December 22. Vivo has also confirmed the launch of the X5Max smartphone in India on December 15.
The X5Max sports a big 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED touchscreen display with 3.98mm narrow bezels and comes powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The handset runs on Funtouch OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS with 2GB of RAM.
The Vivo X5Max houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, F/2.0 aperture, and auto-focus, while there is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture on-board for better selfies. It comes with magnesium alloy and stainless steel body with an anti-fingerprint coating. It also comes with Yamaha YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip, SABRE ES9601 DAC, and TI’s OPA1612 amplifier for better audio output. Vivo calls the complete setup as Hi-Fi 2.0.
In terms of connectivity options, the Vivo X5Max includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG. The handset measures 153.90 × 78.00 × 4.75mm and has a 2000mAh battery inside the body. It also has 16 GB of internal storage onboard, which can be upgraded with up to 128 GB of microSD card.
The X5Max supports dual SIM (4G LTE+GSM / micro+nano) with dual standby functionality. One best feature you will notice, if you want to use a single SIM card, the secondary SIM slot can be used as a MicroSD slot. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack with an interlocking design to fit the thin frame.
