Micromax Canvas Express has been launched in India with a price of Rs. 6,999 and will be exclusively available through e-commerce online website Flipkart starting December 8th.
Micromax‘s Canvas Express runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box and offers dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionality. It features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixel) touchscreen display and comes powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Micromax Canvas Express houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with flash, while there is also a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera on-board for video calling. The unknown size of internal storage on the device can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 32GB). Along with a 1950mAh battery, Aircel users can avail of 500MB of free mobile internet data per month for the first six months of purchasing this smartphone.
The Canvas Express has pre-loaded apps like HotKnot (in place of NFC) and Smart Wake. With Smart Wake’s help, you can open apps with customized gestures directly from the lock screen. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm ear-jack, and GPS. It will be available in electric blue and classy silver variants. It also supports compass, proximity, and accelerometer sensors.
