Lava has launched a new smartphone, dubbed EG932. It is available in India through snapdeal and reliance online store for Rs 11,999, which is not much; it is too much for the hardware. It would be best if you avoided these types of phones while planning to purchase.

The Lava EG932 supports 3G GSM and CDMA 800MHZ, which is the highlight of the phone. It features a 5-inch QHD IPS display with 960 X 540 pixels of resolution and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor, alongside 1GB of RAM.

According to the online retailer, the EG932 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, which is further upgraded to only Android 4.4 KitKat, but no word about Lollipop. It supports micro-SIM and has a dual-SIM slot with dual standby functionality. It comes with 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable using an external memory card.

The Lava EG932 houses a 5-megapixel rear camera and also a VGA front-facing camera fixed for video calling. It has a 2000 mAh Li-ion battery rated for 4 hrs of talk-time and up to 180 hrs of standby time. Connectivity options included WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, micro-USB, Mobile hotspot, and 3G. This device does not come with a GPS receiver. It measures 147.5 X 74.3 X 10.3 mm and weight is 160 gms.

Lava has recently launched Iris 400 colour, which goes on sale in India for Rs 5,499. It has a 4-inch WVGA display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, Mali 400 MP GPU, 512MB RAM, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.
