Xolo‘s Play 8X-1020 is not listed on India’s company website and is also not officially announced, but it goes for sale in India through eBay for Rs 9,999. The main highlight of the phone is it comes with an octa-core processor.
The Xolo Play 8X-1020 features a 5-inch IPS HD touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolution and ASAHI Dragontrail glass protection. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Octa-core processor and MediaTek’s MT6592M chipset, alongside ARM Mali 450-MP4 GPU.
The dual-SIM Play 8X-1020 smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box and has 1GB of RAM. It also comes with 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable with up to 64GB of microSD card. The phone houses an 8-megapixel dual flash rear camera with a Sony Exmor R sensor and sports a 5-megapixel front camera with flash. A 2500mAh Li-ion battery backs it.
In terms of connectivity options, the Xolo Play 8X-1020 includes FM Radio, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, micro-USB, Mobile hotspot, GPS, 3G, and 3.5mm audio jack. It supports accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, and g-sensor.
On 1st Jan 2015, Xolo has launched Q700 Club in India for Rs. 6,999. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582M) processor, 1GB RAM, ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 8GB ROM, and 5-megapixel rear camera.
