Dell India on Wednesday launched what it calls the “world’s thinnest tablet” and expanded its range of products in India. The Dell Venue 8 7840 model of 7000 series has been launched alongside its new range of laptops and PCs, including the Dell XPS 13, Alienware 15, and others. Dell has confirmed the price and availability of the product in India. The price they charged for the Dell Venue 8 tablet 7840 series is Rs. 34,999.
The company claims that the device Dell Venue 8 tablet is only 6mm in width, the slimmest tablet globally. The Vice President of Dell India, Mr. Ray Way said, during the event that “We are designing products that are thin and light, offer exceptional battery life, with style and performance, service and software solutions that customers can only get from Dell,”

The Intel RealSense Snapshot Depth Camera, capable of capturing a depth map, a 3D picture quality. Actually, the tablet has four cameras in total — a 5MP camera on the front, an 8MP camera on the back, and two RealSense sensors below the 8MP sensor on the back. The Realsense technology uses these additional sensors to add depth sensing and refocus options.
