The ZTE Nubia Z9 features a bezel-less 5.2-inch full HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) display with 2.5D curved glass. It also sports FiT (Frame Interaction Technology), that lets you use the smartphone’s curved sides to activate some functions.
The Nubia Z9 comes with a fingerprint sensor with ZTE’s “Tio” fingerprint scanning technology, which is located on the side of the device. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 comes in two storage variant : 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB of flash memory. The smartphone runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Nubia UI 3.0 on top. It houses a 16MP primary camera with an LED flash, a Sony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and a 6P lens. At the front, it has a selfie-centric 80-degree wide-angle 8MP shooter with a Sony IMX179 Exmor R BSI sensor.
In terms of connectivity specs, the Nubia Z9 include dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, MHL 3.0, USB OTG, and A-GPS. The phone is fueled by a 2,900mAh battery. It has also NeoSound 4.0 with a AKM4961 sound chip and Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound.Further, the ZTE Nubia Z9 will be available in three variants – the Classic Edition with 3GB RAM & 32GB flash memory, the Elite Edition with 4GB RAM & 64GB storage, and the top-end edition with 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal memory and ZTE’s “TiO” fingerprint scanning technology.
These variants are priced at 3,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 35,800), 3,999 Yuan (approx. Rs 40,900), and 4,499 Yuan (approx. Rs 46,100) respectively. It will go on sale in China on May 21. However, there’s no word about its global launch yet.
