Xolo has launched the Omega 5.5 smartphone in India with a price Rs. 9,999. The company has also launched a small variant, dubbed as Xolo Omega 5.0, and will be available in India with a price Rs. 8,999.
The Xolo Omega 5.5 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and runs Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS with the company’s HIVE UI on the top. Xolo has also promised Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for all HIVE UI devices. The phone is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor with Mali 450 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The Omega 5.5 houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony EXMOR RS sensor and 1080p video recording; while there is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera also available for selfies and video chatting. It comes with 8GB built-in internal storage, that is expandable via expansion slot (up to 32GB).
The Xolo Omega 5.5 supports dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionality and supports Yamaha amplifier with DTS. Connectivity options included are 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 2600mAh battery. The phone measures 144 x 72 x 10.5mm dimensions.

The Xolo Omega 5.5 comes in black color at Rs. 9,999, and will be available across India starting from December 20th. The firm also offering 1GB of free data for Vodafone customers and Unlimited music content on Vodafone Music for 2 months. The offer will be available for 3 months from the launch date.
