Xiaomi has announced that the company’s flagship smartphone, the Redmi Note, will be available online in India through Flipkart. Today, in an event of Delhi, the firm has confirmed that it will go for sell in India with a price Rs 8999, from starting 2nd December 2014. It is also worth noting that earlier Xiaomi has said that it will be priced at Rs 9999, but now it will be available for less Rs 1000.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note phone comes with MediaTek MT6592 Octa Core processor with Cortex-A7 chipset, which is clocked at 1.7GHz CPU. It is further coupled with ARM Mali-450 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. It has also a big 5.5-inch HD IPS display (1280×720 pixels resolution) and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, which is optimized with MIUI V5.

The Redmi Note houses a 13MP rear facing camera, while there is a 5-megapixel front camera on-board. It is equipped with 8 GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32 GB via an external memory card. It is a dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) phone, which packs a 3100 mAh lithium-polymer battery.
