By focusing on the Indian smartphone market, Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note for Rs 8999 and the Redmi Note 4G with Rs 9999. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G supports FDD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and TDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3), which means it will work with 4G LTE in India too.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G may go on sale online through Flipkart and Airtel stores. It will be soon listed online for registration, but it will go for sale in India by the second half of December 2014.
The Redmi Note 4G comes with a 1.6 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor and supports only a single SIM. It features a big 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, also coupled with Adreno 305 GPU, alongside 2GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal memory and also an expansion slot of 32 GB support.
The smartphone runs Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS, which is optimized with MIUI v5. It houses a 13 MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, and 1080p video recording support, while there is a 5MP front-facing camera onboard. It is backed by a 3100mAh battery and also comes pre-loaded with Fleksy and SwiftKey keyboards.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G has all basic connectivity options like 4G, 3G HSPA+, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and 3.5 mm sound-jack.
