Samsung India has now officially announced its new tablet with a Super AMOLED display, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, with a price of Rs 37800.
Along with Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, the company has unveiled Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.5, which will be available in India at Rs 44,800.
Notably, the manufacturer has promised that it will launch the 4G LTE models for both tablets. However, these two 3G variant models, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Tab S10.5, will be available from 12 Jul 14.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 sports an 8.4-inch (212.8mm) Super AMOLED display with 2560×1600 (WQXGA) pixels of resolution and 16 M colors.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 boasts an Exynos 5 Octa (A15 1.9 GHz ＋ A7 1.3 GHz) processor and coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The tablet houses an 8-megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash and a 2.1 MP frontal camera on-board with Full HD for video calling and selfies.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a built-in 16 GB ROM (32 GB variant), can be upgraded with up to 128 GB of external microSD card.
Measuring the Tab S 8.4 3G variant model, dimension is 125.60 x 212.80 x 6.60 mm, weighs 294 gms.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is powered by a 4900mAH battery, with no rating of talk-time and standby time.
The tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box, supports Java.
WiFi 802.11 a/ b/ g/ n/ ac, MIMO, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou (Not supported in USA, Canada), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, 3.5mm headset-jack and Micro-USB are main connectivity options in this tablet.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Accelerometer and Ambient light main sensors.
The handset features 3G: HSPA+42.2 850/900/1900/2100 and 2G: GSM/EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 operating frequency bands.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 comes with pre-loaded apps Samsung Magazine, Professional pack, Multi-user mode,
SideSync 3.0, Gear & Gear fit manager. It can be connected through a PC using Samsung Kies. Samsung UI / Android and Chrome Browser are also pre-installed apps.
The device would be available in Titanium Bronze or Dazzling White colors.

According to Samsung’s official website, the 4G model will have; LTE: 800/900/1800/2600+850/2100 operating frequency bands. The dimension will be 125.6 x 212.8 x 6.6mm and weight 298gm. Other specs are the same as the 3G variant model.
