Today, Maxx Mobile has launched a new feature phone, MX200, with a tag price of Rs 1848 to target the semi-urban and rural areas of India.
The device comes with a 5200mAh battery, offers features such as long-lasting battery life, a torch, and a rugged body for all-terrain weather conditions, the company said.
“Our consumers in the semi-urban segment and rural areas need phones with good battery life and rugged to sustain rough conditions,” Ajay Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Maxx Mobile, said in a statement.
He added that the company built on the success of its MX100 device launched last year, which had a powerful, long-lasting 4400mAh battery and could also be used as a power bank to charge other mobiles. “Encouraged by the huge response, this year we have enhanced the battery capacity to 5200 mAh for Max100 and have also launched MX200 with similar specifications, but with a bigger 2.4-inch screen”.
The Maxx MX200 5200mAh battery gives 10-11 hours of talk time, which is best suited for areas with increased power cuts. The device can be used as a power bank to charge other mobiles, the company said.
The phone supports three Indian languages: English, Hindi, and Gujarati. It is a Dual SIM handset that supports 8GB of memory card also.
Bluetooth, GPRS, FM Radio, video recorder, video player, audio player, etc., are the main connectivity options. It is available in two variant colors – full black and orange with black.
MX100 is available online at Infibeam for Rs 1571 and MX 200 at Rs 1848. It will soon be available on other e-commerce websites, the company said.
