It looks like Karbonn will soon release a 5-inch smartphone, the A40 Plus, in the Indian market. The device has been listed on the company website without a price yet.
According to the company’s official information, the Karbonn A40 Plus sports a big 5-inch IPS display with 854*480 pixels of resolution and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor with 512 MB of RAM. The handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box and comes with Dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) slot that features dual standby functionality.
The 4GB internal storage of A40 Plus is upgraded with up to 32 GB of external memory cards. The phone houses a 5-megapixel rear-facing shooter and also boasts a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It is fueled by a 1700 mAh battery rated for up to 5 hrs of talk-time and 250 hrs of standby life.
In terms of connectivity options, the Karbonn A40 Plus includes FM Radio, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro-USB v2.0, Mobile hotspot, USB Tethering, 3.5mm audio jack, and 3G. The handset measures 145.8×73.66×9.8mm, and its weight is 110 gms. It supports G-Sensor, Proximity, Light, and Accelerometer sensors.
