Nokia now comes under the Microsoft brand and has launched its 4G LTE smartphone, the Lumia 638, in India for Rs 8,299 (about 131.193 USD).
The Nokia Lumia 638 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS LCD and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad-Core processor. It runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan and 1 GB of RAM. Along with 4G LTE connectivity, it has 8 GB internal storage that is further expandable with up to 128 GB of MicroSD cards.
The Lumia 638 houses a 5-megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus and Flash, but there is no front-facing camera for video calling. It is fueled by an 1830 mAh battery that is rated for 480 hours of standby life. The connectivity options include FM Radio, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and 3G. The handset measures 129.5×66.7×9.2 mm and weighs 134 gms.

The Nokia Lumia 638 comes in Orange, Black, Yellow, and White variant colors. It will be available for pre-booking starting Dec 17th with Amazon. It will be available from Microsoft Store. Microsoft also offers 5 GB of free data on 4G for 2 months for Airtel Postpaid customers in Bengaluru. This offer is available until March 31st, 2015.
