Asus is set to launch a new budget android based smartphone in India, ZenFone 5, expected to be priced at $150, will be available in mid-July 14.
The computer manufacture, Asus company, has already confirmed that the new ZenFone series will formally be launched in India in an event on July 9; the prices also will be revealed then.
The Asus ZenFone 5 comes with a new Zen UI, sports a 5-inch Capacitive touchscreen IPS HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection; the smartphone comes with 720×1280 pixels of resolutions and 16 M colors.
The ZenFone5 boasts an Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor, clocked at 1.6GHz of speed and 2GB of RAM.
The ZenFone 5 is built with 8GB of internal storage, can be expanded with up to 64 GB via an external microSD card.
The ZenFone 5 will be available in Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, Twilight Purple, and Champagne Gold variants of colors.
The ZenFone 5 size is 148.20 x 72.80 x 10.34, weighs 145 gms, has built with 2110mAH non-removable battery.
The ZenFone 5 houses an 8-megapixel rear primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens and LED flash; and also a 2 MP frontal camera on-board for selfies and video calling using Skype. The camera sensor has larger photoreceptors and an f/2.0 lens to get in more light. According to the NDTV gadgets, Asus is talking about its PixelMaster technology, which is said to combine software, hardware, and optical design to deliver good image quality.
The Lenovo ZenFone 5 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box, features Java, KitKat update will be available in the future.
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/ g/ n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, 3.5mm ear-jack, Micro-USB and dual SIM (GSM+GSM / both 3G / micro-SIM) are main connectivity options in this ZenFone 5 phone.
The cellphone comes with Compass/Magnetometer, Proximity, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensors.
