Xiaomi Redmi 1S Announced in India with a Tag Price Rs 5999 Only

Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone has been launched today in India with a tag price of only Rs 5,999. Notably, the smartphone was first announced for India at Rs 6,999, but at last, movement reduced the price. The smartphone will be available on September 2, exclusively on Flipkart.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S Launched in IndiaThe Redmi 1S features Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) and running on Android v4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor (Cortex-A7 / MSM8228) Quad-Core processor with Adreno A305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It sports a 4.7 Inches HD (1280 x 720 Pixels) IPS touchscreen Display.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S houses an 8Megapixel rear camera with LED flash and features Sensor Type Exmor R CMOS, Aperture F2.2, ISO Photographic Mode, White Balance, Focus Mode, Focus Area, Automatic Focus, Multiple Scene Modes, Wide-angle, and 1280 x 720 video recording.

The smartphone also comes with a 1.6 Megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and selfies. It measures 69x137x9.9 mm and weighs 158 gm.  The phone is backed up with a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery.

Redmi 1S has 8 GB of internal storage, further expandable with up to 64 GB of memory cards. FM radio, 3G, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, USB, A-GPS, WLAN, and Bluetooth v4 with Profiles (LE) are the main connectivity options included.

Redmi 1S has Electronic Compass, Accelerometer, Light Sensor, Gyroscope, and Proximity Sensors.
