Sony Xperia C4 with 5.5-inch Display and Octa-Core SoC Announced

Sony has announced a new flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia C4. It will also be available in a dual-SIM variant, the Sony Xperia C4 Dual. It comes in black, white, and mint colors and would launch in select markets at the beginning of June 2015. However, till now, no word on pricing.

Sony Xperia C4The new Sony Xperia C4 is a selfie-focused smartphone that houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a 25mm wide-angle lens and a soft LED flash. It also houses a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash. The phone features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and scratch-resistant glass for protection.

The Xperia C4 is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752 processor with 700 MHz Mali 760 MP2 GPU and runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) OS out of the box. It is packed with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, supports a microSD expansion slot to upgrade the storage up to 128 GB. It is backed by a 2600 mAh battery with STAMINA mode.

In terms of connectivity options, the Sony Xperia C4 includes a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio with RDS, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and NFC. It measures 150.3 x 77.4 x 7.9 mm and weighs 147 grams.
