Sony has listed another flagship smartphone on its official website, Sony Xperia C3, focused on video calling and selfies; however, the price is still not revealed by the company. Japanese giant says the phone will be launched in the market on Aug 14, starting from China.
Xperia series, the Sony Xperia C3 sports a 5.5-inches HD (1280×720 pixels) display, features TRILUMINOS, and supports BRAVIA Engine 2.
The Xperia C3 is powered by Snapdragon 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core processor and coupled with Adreno 305, alongside 1 GB of RAM.
The Sony Xperia C3 comes with 8 GB internal flash memory, can be upgraded with up to 32 GB of MicroSD cards.
Single SIM, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA Certified, GLONASS, Native USB tethering, Screen mirroring, Smart Connect, Synchronisation via Exchange ActiveSync, Facebook, Google and SyncML, USB charging, USB High speed 2.0, Micro USB support, Wi-Fi, WiFi Hotspot functionality and Xperia Link are main connectivity options in this Sony Xperia C3 Smartphone.
The Sony Xperia C3 houses a 5 MP Front-facing camera (720p) with flash LED and Wide view. It also has an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus, capable of HD video recording 1080 p. The camera features Sony Exmor RS for the mobile image sensor, HDR (High Dynamic Range) for photos and videos; Pulsed LED flash, 16x digital zoom, Superior Auto – automatic scene selection, Geotagging – add location info to your photos, Object tracking – lock focus on a specific object and Red-eye reduction.
Some other features included in both cameras are Superior Auto, Portrait Retouch v.2, Timeshift-burst, Picture effects, Movie Creator, Social Live, Sweep Panorama, and a special dedicated app for Vine, which lets users capture short 6-second videos and share them directly from the smartphone.
The phablet runs on Google Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box.
The Sony Xperia C3 supports GSM, GPRS/EDGE (2G), UMTS, HSPA (3G), and LTE (4G) networks.
It packs a 2500mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 24 hours of talk time and 1,071 hours of standby time.
The smartphone measures 156×78.5×7.6 mm, weighs 150 grams and is available in Black, White, and Mint color variants.
