Samsung has released a new smartphone, dubbed as Galaxy J1. The phone is listed in the company’s Malaysian website without pricing details.

Samsung Galaxy J1The low budget smartphone, Samsung Galaxy J1 will be available in Black, Blue and White variant colours, features 3G connectivity. It sports a 4.3-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixels of resolution and has 512MB of RAM.

The Galaxy J1 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor that runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS. It comes dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) with dual standby functionaly, supports micro SIM card. It has built-in 4GB internal storage that is further expandable with up to 128GB of microSD card.

The Galaxy J1 houses a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and flash, that features tap function, that lets you take photos by simply tapping anywhere on the screen. It also boasts a 2-megapixel front camera for selfie that features Palm selfie, that can detect the movement of your hand, so you can easily snap a photo with a simple hand gesture.

Samsung Galaxy J1 is fueled by a 1850mAh Li-ion removable battery with Ultra Power Saving mode technology. The battery is rated for up to 10 hrs (3G) talk-time and up to 9 hrs of internet usage on 3G. Connectivity options include FM Radio, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, WiFi direct, Bluetooth V4.0, micro-USB v2.0, mobile hotspot, GPS, and Glonass. It measures 129×68.2×8.9 mm with 122 gms of weight.
