Philips S398 recently sold in Russia with a price of 7,990 rubles (roughly 151 USD or Rs. 9,300). The company is now planning to release the same in India. It is listed online officially without a price tag and its availability details yet.
The Philips S398 boasts a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor and features a big 5-inch TFT (720X1280 pixel) HD IPS screen. It supports dual-SIM (WCDMA+GSM) and features dual-standby functionality that runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS. It houses an 8 MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera for self-portrait and video calling.
The S398 measures 143.7 x 71.1 x 9.65 mm and weight is 170 gms; it will be available in Black color only. It is backed by a 2040 mAh Li-ion battery rated for 300 hrs of standby and 8h (2G) / 4h(3G) of talk-time. It has all basic connectivity options, like Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, and 3G. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable internal storage using an external microSD card.
