The Micromax Canvas Tab P470 tablet’s successor has been launched in India, dubbed as Micromax Canvas Tab P480. The latest slate from the company is priced at Rs. 6,999. It will be available in the homeland, across retail stores from the last week of April 2015.
The Micromax Canvas Tab P480 features a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display with 1024 x 600 pixels of resolution and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The 8GB internal storage is further expandable via memory card, up to 32 GB.
Micromax‘ Canvas Tab P480 device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box; however, the firm promises to upgrade it to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS soon. It houses a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies/video calling.
The Canvas Tab P480 supports dual SIM (WCDMA+GSM) and has voice calling capabilities. The device includes 3G (voice calling), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB with OTG support in terms of connectivity specs. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, which promises up to 9 hours of talk time on 2G, 3.5 hours of video playback, 3 hours of browsing time, and 169 hours of standby time.
The new slate comes in blue and white color variants.
