LG has launched a flip smartphone, Wine Smart, in Korea, and the company has not revealed the price and availability details. It has been specifically developed for Korean peoples, so it will not be launched outside Korea.
The new LG Wine Smart comes in black and white colors and would go on sale in South Korea starting September 26th. It sports a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, which is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. The phone is running on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS.
The Wine Smart houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and also a VGA front-facing camera is available for video calling. It features Kakao Talk messenger with a dedicated launch key for the app, a T9 keypad, and a high-power 1W speaker. At 16.9mm, think, it weighs 140.8 grams.
The LG Wine Smart has been developed by keeping in Korea’s older adults mind, and it comes with a new safe keeper feature. The safe keeper automatically sends the location information or call the emergency number when the phone is unused for a long time. A tiny LED notification light outside the smartphone offers notifications for missed calls, text messages, and more.
Further, in terms of specs, the Wine Smart has 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage with an expansion slot (up to 32GB). It also packs a 1700 mAh battery, but no word of talk-time and standby time. The best part of this phone is, it supports 4G LTE connectivity, along with WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, FM radio, and GPS.
