Infinix Hot 2 launched in Africa with partnership of Google’s Android One program

Google has enlarged its Android One plan to African nations by launching the Infinix Hot 2. The smartphone comes in White, Black, Red, and Blue color options. It costs N17,500 (US$ 87 / INR 5,750) for the 1GB RAM model and N19,500 (US$ 98 / INR 6,400) for the 2GB Memory variation, which comes in Golden color in Nigeria. It’s going to be available through selected stores in Morocco, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Kenya, and Egypt and online store Jumia.

The Infinix Hot 2 (X510) functions as a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) High Definition IPS screen and is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek central processing unit along with 1GB / 2GB RAM. The integrated 16 GB internal storage is further expandable with up to 32 GB with MicroSD.

The Infinix Hot 2 is a dual SIM (WCDMA + GSM) smartphone that features dual standby functionality and runs on the newest Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS. The smartphone houses an 8MP back camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, while there is a 2MP front-facing shooter on the entrance for video-calling / selfies.

The mobile contains 3G HSPA, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Global Positioning System, 3.5mm audio port, and FM Radio when it comes to connection options. A 2200mAh battery fuels it.
