Huawei has unveiled a new 3G DC-HSPA+ pocket router, which also works as a power bank. It is listed on the company’s official website in the UK and will sell in the country through Amazon at unknown prices. Till now, it is not on-sell; however, its sub-model Huawei E5370 is already on sale with a price of $148 through 4gltemall.
Huawei E5730 mobile pocket WiFi router comes with an Ethernet port, which can connect Ethernet cable to support multiple WiFi-enabled terminals to access the internet. It also comes with a SIM card slot to change the 3G data WiFi signal up to 150 Mbps.
Huawei also says the E5370 is equipped with pre-installed global and local network APNs. There is no need to configure the APN profile if you change the carrier. It comes with a big 5200mAh battery that enables it as a power bank. It can work for 16 hours, and standby time is around 500 hours.
In its WiFi mode, the Huawei E5370 can connect up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Its maximum download speed is up to 42 Mbps. The device features DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS: 2100/900MHz bands and supports WiFi IEEE 802.11b/g/n.
The E5370 boasts a micro USB interface, standard USB interface, RJ45 ethernet port, standard 6 PIN SIM card, built-in UMTS/GSM/WLAN antenna, power & reset button. It has other features like DHCP, Cone NET, Symmetric NAT, APN, LAN IP filter, and a DMZ.
The router measures 99 × 66.3 × 22.5 mm, and its weight is 170 gms. Its other variant Huawei E5730s-2 is available in Hongkong with a price of HKD 750 (Roughly 96.67 US Dollar) through price.com.hk.
Unlocking of this device is not tested until now, as we have no devices locked to a particular carrier.
