Huawei B818 Cat19 5G LTE Router Launched

Huawei has recently launched a Cat19 router, dubbed as B818. Its two variant models are available: Huawei B818-260 and Huawei B818-263. This is also known as Huawei 4G Router 3 Prime. B818-263 features 4G LTE Band 1/3/5/7/8/20/26/28/32/38/40/41/42/43, while B818-260 is supported by 4G LTE Band 1/3/7/8/20/28/32/38/42.

The Huawei B818 is powered by a Hisilicon Balong 765 chipset that can download speed up to 1.6Gbit/sec and upload speed up to 150Mbps. It can be connected with up to 64 WiFi-enabled devices at a time. There are two external antennae, and two Gigabit LAN ports are available on this router.

The Huawei B818 is the world’s first LTE Cat19 CPE router powered by HiSilicon’s latest chipset Balong 765. It also supports up to 8×8 MIMO in the downlink, CA, and 256QAM to achieve a maximum theoretical downlink rate of over 1 Gbit/s. According to Huawei, with the B818 WiFi router, WTTx(Wireless to the x) networks can provide a user experience equivalent to optical fiber networks.

This router can be purchased through the Vodafone network, sold as “Vodafone GigaCube Cat19”. It is the predecessor of the Huawei B618 router, which can be unlocked by code.

Huawei B818 can be unlocked by code if it prompts for simlock after changing the SIM card. You can also purchase an unlocked one from 4gltemall for around the US $499.
