HTC Desire Eye With 13-Megapixel Front-Facing Camera Official

HTC Desire Eye has been launched with the selfie trend in the market. It is exclusively available at AT&T, but no pricing and availability details have yet been mentioned.

The HTC Desire Eye selfie-focused smartphone boasts a 13-megapixel sensor, a rear-facing camera, and a 13 MP front-facing shooter. Both the snapper features dual-LED flash. Notably, both the front and rear cameras can shoot 1080p@30fps videos. The rear camera also features an f/2.0 aperture and a 28mm lens, while the front-facing camera features an f/2.2 aperture with a 20mm lens.

The HTC Desire Eye is running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with the new HTC Sense 6.0 UI. It also features an IPX7 rating, designed to resist immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It also has to share desktop functionality for video chat.

The Desire Eye boasts a 5.2-inch full-HD LCD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It also has 16 GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via MicroSD card (up to 128 GB). A 2400mAh Li-PO battery backs the device.

Front-facing stereo speakers powered by HTC Boomsound technology and the HTC Desire Eye measure 151.7×73.8×8.5mm with 154 grams. It has 3 microphones for enhanced background noise cancellation. It has a bright, dual-color, water-resistant, unibody design.

In terms of connectivity options, the HTC Desire Eye includes 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC, and GPS with GLONASS.
