HTC Desire Eye has been launched with the selfie trend in the market. It is exclusively available at AT&T, but no pricing and availability details have yet been mentioned.

The HTC Desire Eye selfie-focused smartphone boasts a 13-megapixel sensors rear-facing camera and also a 13MP front-facing shooter. Both the snapper features dual-LED flash. Notably, both the front and rear cameras is able to shoot 1080p@30fps videos. The rear camera also features a f/2.0 aperture and a 28mm lens, while the front-facing camera features a f/2.2 aperture with a 20mm lens.

The HTC Desire Eye is running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with new HTC Sense 6.0 UI. It also features an IPX7 rating, designed to resist immersion in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. It has also sharing desktop functionality for video chat.

The Desire Eye boasts of a 5.2-inch full-HD LCD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. It has also 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (upto 128GB). The device is backed by a 2400mAh Li-Po battery.

Front-facing stereo speakers powered by HTC Boomsound technology and the HTC Desire Eye measures 151.7×73.8×8.5mm with 154 grams weight. It has 3 microphones for enhanced background noise cancellation. It has bright, dual-colour, water-resistant unibody design.

In terms of connectivity options, the HTC Desire Eye includes 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC and GPS with GLONASS.
