BQ launches Ubuntu Edition Aquaris E4.5 and Aquaris E5 in India

BQ earlier launched the Ubuntu-based smartphone in Europe. Now, the smartphones have been officially announced for India, which will be exclusively available through Snapdeal from the end of this month. The models are Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition and Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition, available for Rs 11,999 and Rs 13,499 correspondingly. Both supports dual-SIM with dual standby comes in White and Black alternative colors.

BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition

The BQ Aquaris E5 Ubuntu Model functions a 5-inch High Definition IPS screen and is driven by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek central processing unit with 1GB of Memory. The smartphone houses a 13-mega-pixel rear camera with double-LED flash, BSI, and Largan lens. It also has a-5-mega-pixel front-facing camera.

The Aquaris E5 Ubuntu provides 16 GB of built-in storage, further expanding with up to 32 GB MicroSD cards. Connection choices include Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G (HSPA), Global Positioning System/ AGPS, micro USB, and FM radio. A 2500mAh battery backs the unit. It measures 142 x 71 x 8.6 mm and weighs 134 gms.

On yet another phone, the BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu features a 4.5-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) screen and is powered with a quad-core MediaTek central processing unit (Cortex A7) clocked at 1.3GHz. It is sold with 1GB of Memory and Mali GPU. It includes 8GB internal storage, further expanding with up to 32 GB of MicroSD card.

The smartphone houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with a double LED flash. There is a 5-mega-pixel unit at the front. Connection choices provide Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G (HSPA), Global Positioning System/ AGPS, micro USB with OTG, and FM radio. The BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu actions 137 x 67 x 9 mm and weighs 123 gms. It’s supported with a 2150mAh Li-po battery.
