Yuphoria rolling out with Cyanogen OS 12.0 update

YU Televentures started rolling out a new Cyanogen OS 12.0 update for the Yuphoria. This new YNG1TBS2P2 software is an incremental update packing a few features and enhancements. The update measures roughly 38 MB and will be reaching all Yuphoria owners incoming 2-3 week Yuphoria.

Based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, the new Cyanogen OS 12.0 update addresses heating issues that were mostly reported in the early batch of Yuphoria units. The camera app has also been tweaked for better low light images and macro shots.

True caller integrating Dialer has been improved, as has been the touch screen responsiveness of the handset. Revised audio chipset code promises richer bass and a clearer audio experience.

The Yu Yuphoria is powered by a 64-Bit 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor and coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM, alongside Adreno 306 GPU, laminated 5-inch HD IPS display, and has 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The screen is further protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It houses an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and boasts a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an 85-degree wide-angle.

The Cyanogen OS 12.1 update – based on Android 5.1 – for the Yu Yureka and Yuphoria is expected to be available soon. The company has revealed that it is in the final phase of testing.
