YU brand is again rocking in India. It has launched an octa-core smartphone in India, dubbed as Yuphoria, with a price of just Rs 6999. It will be exclusively available through Amazon India; registration starts today at 5 PM, while the first sale will be on May 28.
According to the online listing, the YU Yuphoria comes with a fully laminated 5-inch HD IPS display and has a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The screen is further protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It houses an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and boasts a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an 85-degree wide-angle.
The Yu Yuphoria is equipped with Pure Wolfson Sound and AAC speakers that enhance sound quality. It also supports gravity, proximity, light, and eCompass sensors. The smartphone is backed by a 2230mAH battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology, and the phone can be charged from 0% to 65% in just 45 minutes.
The Yu Yuphoria is powered by a 64-Bit 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor and coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM, alongside Adreno 306 GPU. It has 16GB of built-in storage, but no word about the microSD card slot. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA, GPS/A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and FM Radio.
The Yuphoria runs the latest Cyanogen OS 12 that is based on Android Lollipop 5.0.2. It measures 142.38 x 72.96 x 8.2 mm (9.35 mm camera area), but no word about weight. It comes in Black+Silver and Gold+While variant colors.
At Rs 6999, YU Yuphoria is quite good and can be purchased.
