Xolo has released another flagship budget smartphone in Play series, called it Xolo Play 8X-1200. The handset is listed in its official website with a tag price Rs 19,999.
The Play 8X-1200 supports GSM: 900/1800 and WCDMA:2100 operating frequency bands. In HSPA+ network, the smartphone is able to download a file with maximum speed up to 21 Mbps, while upload speed limit is 5.76 Mbps.
The phone is powered by Mediatek MT6592T chipset with 2.0 GHz Octa Core. It is further coupled with Mali 450 GPU which is clocked at 700 MHz, alongside 2GB of RAM.
Measuring 143 x 68.5 x 9.7mm dimensions, Xolo Play 8X-1200 weighs not mentioned. This Dual SIM handset include 3G, Micro USB 5pin, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS, A-GPS, USB v2.0, OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual Mic Support for Noise Cancellation, Wi-Fi and WLAN as connectivity options.
The Xolo Play 8X-1200 houses 13 MP rear camera with PureCel Sensor and dual flash, while it also firms 5 Megapixel frontal camera with BSI Sensor with flash and autofocus. The front cam is very useful for video calling and selfies. Scene detection & tuning, High Dynamic Range (HDR), Low Light enhancement, Face recognition (For focussing as well as in Gallery), Vertical & Horizontal Panorama capture and Geo tagging are additional features of the camera.
Xolo Play 8X-1200 comes with Gyroscope, Magnetometer, Accelerometer, Ambient light, Proximity and Hall Effect sensors. This budget phablet has 32GB of inbuilt storage, but no word of its expand-ability. It is backed by a 2300 mAh Li-ion battery, which is rated to deliver up to 547 Hours standby time in 3G or up to 11.7 Hours talk-time in 3G network.
