Lava brand Xolo has launched a new smartphone, the Era 5X. According to the firm, the smartphone offers an enhanced selfie experience through AI portrait lighting. It also boasts a “Face ID” technology that works under low-light conditions and can detect up to 240 facial points.
In terms of specs, the Xolo Era 5X boasts a 5.7-inch HD+LTPS IPS display along with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the top. The device packs a 2GHz quad-core MediaTek SoC and 3GB of RAM.
The Era 5X features a 13-megapixel (f/2.0) camera sensor at the back with LED (and phase detection autofocus) and there is also a 13-megapixel (f/2.0) camera at the back. The dual-SIM Xolo Era 5X supports 4G VoLTE and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, FM, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40) connectivity options are available. There is some sensors also available, namely : Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor and Accelerometer.
The Xolo Era 5X run on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Hive UI on the top.
On the part of optics, the Xolo Era 5X features a 13-megapixel sensor at the rear with an f/2.0 aperture, and. On the front, it features 13-megapixel sensor coupled with an f/2.0 aperture. The company is also touting AI portrait lighting features.
The Xolo Era 5X comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card. At the time of writing this post, handset price is unknown yet.
