Xolo A550s IPS, a new smartphone, has been officially listed on the company India website. The Xolo A550s IPS has been priced in India at Rs 5799 (Roughly 96 US dollars).

The Xolo A550s IPS is a Dual SIM 3G smartphone and feature M 900/1800 and WCDMA 2100 frequency bands. In its HSPA+ network, you can download a file with a maximum speed of 21 Mbps, while the upload speed limit is 5.76 Mbps.

A550S IPS is powered by a MediaTek MTK6572M dual-core processor, which is further clocked at 1GHz of speed and coupled with 512 MB of RAM. It also boasts a Mali 400 GPU, which is also clocked at 395MHz. It comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be further upgraded with up to 32 GB of memory cards.

Measuring 125 x 63.9 x 9.1 mm dimension, Xolo A550s IPS weight not mentioned. It sports a 10.16 cm (4-inch) IPS touchscreen display with 2 point touch support, 256 K, 233 PPI, and 480 x 800 pixels of resolution.

The handset runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS; however, the company assures KitKat 4.4 update in the future.

Assisted GPS, 3.5mm Headphone Jack, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and WLAN are main connectivity options.

Xolo A550s IPS houses a 5MP rear camera with Auto Focus and have a 0.3 Mega Pixel VGA frontal camera, which features operator video calling. The primary camera features Scene detection & tuning, Face Recognition, Panorama, Geo-tagging, Best shot, Smile shot, and HDR. The handset comes with Accelerometer, Ambient Light, and Proximity sensors.

The A550s IPS packs a 1400 mAh battery, rated to deliver Total Standby Time (3G) up to 570 Hours of Total Talk Time (3G) up to 8 hrs.
