Xolo – the Chinese handset maker launched Xolo A1000s in India today, along with Play 8X-1200 and XOLO 8X 1000 smartphones. The A1000s is listed online with a tag price Rs 7799.
The Xolo A1000s is built with MediaTek MTK6572M chipset, 1 GHz Dual Core processor. It is further coupled with Mali 400 MP GPU at 395 MHz clock speed, along with 1GB of RAM. It measures 128 x 63 x 8.98 mm dimension, while weight is not mentioned on the official website.
Xolo A1000s also sports 12.7 cm (5.0-Inch) touchscreen display (480 x 854) with 196 PPI, 256 K and TFT; but it is 2 point touch supported only. The phablet runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS out of the box.
The A1000s houses a 5 MP rear camera with flash but fixed focus, while there is a 0.3 MegaPixel VGA frontal camera is also available for operator video calling. Scene detection & tuning, Face Recognition, Panorama, Geo tagging, Best shot, Smile shot and HDR are additional features of the primary camera.
A-GPS, GPS, 3.5 mm Audio Jack, Android Video Player, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and WLAN are main connectivity options. Accelerometer, Ambient light and Proximity sensors are also available in Xolo A1000s phone.
It has 4GB inbuilt storage, that can be expanded with up to 32GB of memory card. It is powered by 2000 mAh capacity batter, which is rated to deliver standby time up to 590 Hours and talk time up to 13 Hours in 3G network.
