Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 2 in China along with MIUI 7 custom ROM based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, in a event in Beijing, China. It is priced at CNY 899 (around Rs. 9,000). It will be available in only 3G version also which is priced at CNY 799 (about Rs. 8,000). Except 4G connection, other specs will be same.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 runs MIUI 7, based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 chip (2GHz quadcore Cortex A53 + 2GHz quadcore Cortex A53) in conjunction with 2GB of RAM. It will be available in two storage variant : 16GB and 32 GB. However, there is no word on microSD card. It is backed by a 3060mAH battery, along with quick charge technology.
The Redmi Note 2 houses a 13-mega-pixel Samsung rear camera with phase detection auto focus (PDAF) and have a shutter-speed of 0.1-second. It also features aperture of f/2.2 plus a 5-element lens. There is a 5-mega-pixel front camera with OmniVision sensor for selfies / video calling.
In terms of connectivity options, the Redmi Note 2 include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wifi, micro usb 2.0, Wireless, GPS, and infrared that designed for common remote control of suitable devices. It measures 152x76x8.25 mm and weighs 160 gms.
