Upcoming smartphone from Chinese vendor Xiaomi Redmi 2 will be available in China for 699 RMB (approx. 112 USD). Till now there is no word about international pricing.

The main highlights of the Xiaomi‘s Redmi 2 is it comes with dual SIM and both features 4G LTE connectivity. It will be available in White, Dark gray, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Pink variant colour options. At 4G connectivity, the handset is able to download a file with up to 150Mbps and upload speed limit is 50Mbps.

According to the official details, the Redmi 2 sports a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 pixels of resolution. It is powered by a 64-big 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor and coupled with Adreno 306 GPU. The phone runs the latest 0MIUI 6 OS that is based on Google’s Android v4.4 KitKat.

Alongside 1GB of RAM, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 also comes with 8GB of internal storage that is further expandable with up to 32GB of memory card. It houses an 8-megapixel rear camera and also boasts a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie. It is backed by a 2200 mAh Samsung Lithium polymer battery.

In terms of connectivity options, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 include FM Radio, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, USB, Mobile hotspot, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. Its weight is 133 grams and it is 9.4mm thick. It supports accelerometer, proximity, ambient light and G-sensor.
