After the launch of Redmi NoteRedmi 1S, Mi3 in Indian market; everybody is familiar in India with Chinese Xiaomi firm. The Xiaomi has launched its first tablet MiPad in China, and now its 64 GB variant has bee also launched. The 16GB variant of MiPad was made available for 1499 CNY ($242 or Rs 14600), while the 64GB model announced with a price 1699 CNY ($274 or Rs 16600).

Xiaomi MiPad is first tablet which sports a 7.9-inch IPS OGS capacitive multi-touch screen with resolution equal to Apple’s Retina Display of 2,048×1,536-pixels and is powered by Nvidia Tegra K1 processor.

It runs a new version of MIUI V5, which is a heavily customised version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. Xiaomi says, the new UI greatly resembles iOS 7 and deliver the Apple experience on an Android tablet.

The MiPad comes with a 16 GB / 64 GB variant models, and storage can be expanded with up to 128 GB of an external microSD card. It is available in Black, Pink, White,Yellow,Blue,Green colours. It is a multi-languages supported tablet, namely English, Czech, French, Polish, Slovak, Bulgarian and Russian.

The Xiaomi MiPad is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra K1 Quad Core 2.2GHz processor with Nvidia Tegra K1 and 192-core Kepler GPU, and coupled with 2GB  LPDDR3 RAM.

The handset houses a 8 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, and also firms 5 MP frontal camera. Both camera features 1080p@30fps video capture.

WiFi 802.11/b/g/n/ac,WiFi Direct and Bluetooth 4 are main connectivity options. It boasts a 6700mAh lithium-ion battery non-removable battery. It features Gyro, Light, Proximity and Compass sensors.

The Xiaomi MiPad measures 202.1 x 135.4 x 8.5 mm, weight is 360 g  (Including battery).
