Xiaomi made an entry in India with the Mi3 last year. After the launch of Mi Note Pro and Mi Note in China, the company is now planning to launch Mi 4 in India.
Manu Jain, head of India operations, confirmed that the Mi 4 will be launching in India end of this month and will go on sale in February. Hugo Barra, Head of International operation for Xiaomi, exclusively confirmed to economic times that the phone would be launched on 28th January.
Like the Xiaomi Mi 3, Mi 4’s 16 GB storage variant will be launched in India. The Mi 4 sports a metal chassis with a plastic removable back panel. It packs a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, and a 3,000mAh battery. It runs the MIUI 6, which is based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat SO. It comes with an 8MP front camera, while at the rear 13 MP shooter is available.
Like the earlier Xiaomi’s phones, the Mi4 is also expected to sell exclusively on Flipkart. While the official prices have not been revealed yet, we expect it to be priced between Rs 17,000- Rs 20,000.
