Xiaomi has today unveiled its most rumored smartphone, called it Xiaomi Mi 4. According to the firm, it is the fastest smartphone in the world.
According to the company, it is “The Journey of a Piece of Steel.” Xiaomi’s flagship Mi 4 is available in China in two storage variants; the 16 GB model is priced at CNY 1999 (Rs 19,400), while the 64 GB model is priced at CNY 2499 (Rs 24,200). The China Unicom version of the handset has been set a July release date. Xiaomi will launch a 4G-enabled handset of the Mi 4 in September that will be available outside China, including India.
An upgraded version of Xiaomi Mi 3, the Mi4 sports a 5-inch full-HD display (1080×1920 pixels) with JDI OGS full lamination. It houses a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, both sporting Sony’s stacked CMOS sensors. The device features a stainless steel metal frame that passes through “40 processes and 193 steps”.
A 3080mAh Li-ion battery backs the smartphone. It is expected to be running on MIUI 6, a modified version of the Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
The Mi 4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core processor, which is clocked at 2.5GHz frequency and coupled with 3G RAM.
Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Headphones 3.5mm, Micro-USB, GSM 3G are connectivity specs of this Xiaomi Mi4 smartphone. It also has Proximity, Accelerometer, and Ambient light sensors.
