Today, Wacom has unveiled a new Windows-based tablet, dubbed as Cintiq Companion 2. It is specially build for professional creators of digital content who require the best pen-on-screen experience.
The Cintiq Companion 2 features a 13.3-inch (2560×1440 pixels resolution) touchscreen display and offers Pro Pen, which provides 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and tilt recognition. Its display is combined with the Pro Pen that gives artists and designers realistic pen-on-paper feel with limited glare so they can do their best work. It also has an adjustable stand so it can be positioned exactly the way an artist or designer wants. The best part of this tab is it can connect to PC via Cintiq Connect and function as a primary or secondary Cintiq display with the Pro Pen.
The Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 will be available at the Wacom eStore in several configurations from February 2015. The Entry model with 64GB SSD will be offered in US $1,299.99. The Value version with 128GB SSD will cost at US $1,599.99 and the Standard version with 256GB SSD will be available in the market for 1,999.99 USD. The Premium version with 512GB SSD is expected to be available in the spring at $2,499.99.
