Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 – Windows-based Tablet is now Official

Today, Wacom has unveiled a new Windows-based tablet, dubbed Cintiq Companion 2. It is specially built for professional creators of digital content who require the best pen-on-screen experience.

Wacom Cintiq Companion 2The Cintiq Companion 2 features a 13.3-inch (2560×1440 pixels resolution) touchscreen display and offers Pro Pen, which provides 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and tilts recognition. Its display is combined with the Pro Pen that gives artists and designers a realistic pen-on-paper feel with a limited glare so they can do their best work. It also has an adjustable stand to be positioned exactly the way an artist or designer wants. The best part of this tab is connecting to PC via Cintiq Connect and function as a primary or secondary Cintiq display with the Pro Pen.

The Wacom Cintiq Companion 2 will be available at the Wacom eStore in several configurations from February 2015. The Entry model with 64 GB SSD will be offered at the US $1,299.99. The Value version with 128 GB SSD will cost the US $1,599.99, and the Standard version with 256 GB SSD will be available in the market for 1,999.99 USD. The Premium version with 512 GB SSD is expected to be available in the spring at $2,499.99.
