Vodafone has launched the flagship 3G data card in India, K4201i, available in India via e-commerce online website Homeshop18 with a tag price Rs 1099 with different plans. Notably, the same locked modem is available at amazon in Rs 1299.
According to the re-seller, the K4201i is a 3G dongle, supports HSPA network. In HSDPA network, data-card can provide download speed up to 21.6 Mbps, upload speed in HSUPA is 5.76 Mbps.
The K4201i comes in white colour; boasts a memory card slot, can be upgraded up to 32 GB via an external microSD card. The device software supports phonebook, but no word about voice.
The K4201i works with all major Operating Systems of Computers including Windows RT for Windows Tablets. You can use it inWindows 2003, Windows XP, Win Vista, Win 7, Win 8, MAC OSX 10.5,10.6 &10.7 and Linux Ubuntu 9.10,10.04,10.10,11.04 & 12.04 OS also.
Measuring the Vodafone’s K4201i data card, its dimension is 12.6 x 6.4 x 2.4 cm, net weight 21.5gm, whereas gross is 44 g. The modem features HSPA / UMTS (2100MHz), GSM/ GPRS/ EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) frequency bands.
The Vodafone K4201i adapter sports a LED light indicator to indicate the different states of the dongle.
In my reviews, K4201i is a nice device, sports 21.6 Mbps download speed, as well as 5.76 Mbps upload speed, costs only Rs 1099.
