Vodafone had launched the ZTE K3770-Z 3G modem in India, which is actually a ZTE MF192 3G dongle. Now, in Uganda, Orange has launched the same modem, I mean ZTE MF 192. Like Vodafone ZTE K3770-z, Orange ZTE MF192 dongle can also be unlocked. To unlock the ZTE MF192 dongle, you can follow the same procedure as mentioned for unlocking the ZTE Vodafone K3770-z 3G modem. After unlocking the ZTE MF192 Orange Uganda 3G modem, you can use all network provider SIM cards.
How to Unlock ZTE MF192 Orange Uganda 3G Modem?
1. Download Vodafone ZTE K3770Z (MF192) Unlocker tool and extract it in a folder using WinRAR.
2. Insert ZTE MF192 Orange 3G modem to the PC and let it install the Orange software and drivers.
3. After installing software, the Orange app will be opened automatically; close the ZTE MF192 Orange default software and open the extracted folder and run the MultiCDMADownLoad.exe file.
4. Unlocking tool will detect your modem COM port automatically.
5. Click the Software Version button and select the extracted folder.
6. Click the Arrow (download) button and wait for the firmware update.
7. It will take 2-5 mins to finish, and after that, remove the ZTE MF192 Orange Uganda dongle from the PC and re-plug the modem.
8. Now download the ZTE MF192 MTS dashboard or Unicom connection manager and install it on your PC (Before installing downloaded software, uninstall previous ZTE MF192 Orange Uganda 3G modem software from PC).
9. Now your ZTE MF192 Orange Uganda dongle is unlocked forever. Now change the default SIM card with any other network provider and create a new profile according to the SIM card.
If you face a driver problem, then download drivers from here (for both Unicom and MTS dashboard) and install it.
Note: To install the drivers, first unzip in a folder. Now go to ZTE.Icera.Drivers.v5.34.3366MF186 location. Here you will find installer_x64.exe and installer_x86.exe. Choose the appropriate setup file as per your operating system. Now open command prompt and drag setup file to command prompt. Now give space and write install as we have written in the below image and hit enter from the keyboard.
If, after unlocking, your ZTE MF192 Orange Uganda 3G modem, CD drive, and Micro SD card gets disabled, then use these commands.
