How to change Firmware of Huawei E173z-2 E303?
1. Ensure that you have sufficient battery backup while you are flashing your modem; if any interruption is flashing, your modem will be dead forever.
2. Connect the dongle to the PC with USB support.
3. Open Virtual CD-ROM and install it on your PC.
4. It will automatically open the software of the modem.
5. Close the software on the modem.

8. Input the firmware code (you can generate from Universal Master Code software).

How to unlock Huawei E303 Modem?
1. Download the Huawei E303 dongle unlocking software from the link provided at the end of the post.
2. Now disconnect the internet and change the default SIM with another network provider SIM (other than Etisalat network SIM in Etisalat locked Huawei E303).
3. Now, connect the modem to a PC or laptop.
4. Let it launch the software of the modem.
5. It will prompt for unlocking code / simlock code.
6. Enter the unlock code and click OK.
7. Now, your Huawei E303 is unlocked forever.
In case it does not prompt for a code,
8. Close the software of the modem (branded Huawei Mobile Partner software).
9. Run the downloaded Huawei E303 Unlocker software.
10. Detect the E303 Huawei into the downloaded software.
11. Input the 8-digit unlock code in the “Unlock Code(6-8 digits):” box and click the OK button.
