Soon after the unlocking of the H3G Tre Italy E3131 (E3131S-2) modem, I finally got the solution for unlocking Airtel Nigeria E3131 Huawei 4G dongle. The unlocking process of the Nigerian E3131 is also the same, as it also comes with un-customized firmware, and there is a bulky process involved.
How to Unlock Airtel Nigeria E3131 Huawei 4G Modem?
1. Download the Airtel Nigeria E3131 Huawei 4G Dongle Unlocker tool from the link at the end of the post.
2. Now disconnect the internet and change the default SIM card with any other network provider SIM (other than Airtel carrier SIM card in Nigerian E3131 Huawei 4G modem).
3. Now connect the modem to Windows PC or laptop.
4. Let it launch the software of the modem.
5. Close the software of the modem (Huawei Mobile Partner software of Airtel brand).
6. Run the downloaded Airtel Nigeria E3131 Huawei 4G Huawei modem unlocking app.
7. Detect the device into the downloaded software.
8. Once it will show the IMEI, input the correct 8-digit SIMLock / unlock code in the “Unlock Code (6-8 digits):” box and click on the OK button.
Now your Airtel E3131 modem is unlocked forever.
Note: If your device firmware version is 21.157.72.00.408, then it can not be unlocked. It comes with zero attempts left to enter the code.
